Braun Management is hiring a Website Development Intern to support its consulting team during a major South African client engagement. In this role, you will assist in building, updating, and maintaining web-based reporting portals, internal communication platforms, and data interfaces that allow senior executives to access clear, evidence-backed findings.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Technical Tasks
In this fully remote position, your daily deliverables will cover four core areas:
1. Web Maintenance & Content Management
- CMS Administration: Assist in updating and maintaining client and internal web pages using content management systems (CMS).
- Front-End Tweaks: Write clean HTML and CSS code to adapt layouts, styling, and structural components based on consulting requirements.
- Performance & QA: Fix broken links, resolve layout errors, optimize slow-loading assets, and test functionality across different devices and browsers.
2. Data Visualizations & Internal Dashboards
- Visualization Integration: Help embed basic data visualization tools and visual charts into internal client portals.
- Reporting Support: Ensure digital tools accurately reflect the latest project data, structure findings, and research outputs.
3. Analytics & Technical Documentation
- Site Health Monitoring: Track basic site metrics, uptime, and user engagement levels across client reporting tools.
- Technical Writing: Draft clear technical guides, site architecture diagrams, and user instructions for non-technical team members.
Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements
To qualify for this remote web development internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: Studies or self-taught background in Computer Science, Web Design, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
- Core Technical Stack:
- Basic proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with standard Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress or custom CMS platforms).
- Detail-Oriented & Precise: Exceptional attention to detail regarding visual consistency, layout spacing, and technical accuracy.
- Technical Writing: Ability to articulate complex technical workflows in plain, jargon-free English.
