Braun Management is hiring a Frontend Developer Intern to support its technical and advisory teams during an engagement with a major South African financial services provider. Operating in a 100% remote environment, you will build and refine responsive frontend interfaces, user dashboards, and interactive data visualization tools that transform static organizational research into executive-ready digital tools.
Key Responsibilities & Front-End Deliverables
In this fully remote position, your daily deliverables will cover four primary workstreams:
1. UI/UX Development & Component Building
- Prototypes to Code: Translate wireframes, layout prototypes, and design specs into clean, functional code using modern web standards (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Interface Refinement: Build and refine user interfaces designed to render complex organizational models and decision-rights frameworks clearly.
2. Interactive Data Visualizations & Client Tools
- Static to Interactive: Support the transformation of static analysis reports into interactive, web-based tools for executive client workshops.
- Data Accuracy: Collaborate with the data team to ensure web-based charts and visualizations are precise, accurate, and easy to interpret.
3. Maintenance, Testing & QA
- Web App Maintenance: Maintain and update internal web applications used for structural analysis.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Conduct rigorous QA testing across multiple browser environments to guarantee UI stability and performance.
4. Code Reviews & Technical Documentation
- Peer Reviews: Participate in code reviews to align with professional coding standards, clean architecture, and performance best practices.
- Component Guides: Help senior developers document frontend component libraries, design systems, and styling guidelines.
Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements
To qualify for this remote frontend internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Academic / Coding Background: University degree studies, bootcamp completion, or self-directed portfolio projects in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Core Technical Stack:
- Solid foundation in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Advantageous: Exposure to modern frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- UI/UX Eye: High attention to detail regarding alignment, typography, spacing, CSS layout systems (Flexbox/Grid), and visual hierarchy.
