The Software Development Internship is a 6-month, fully remote structured program. Designed for recent graduates and final-year computing students, this role provides direct, hands-on involvement across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). Interns will work on live client builds alongside senior engineers, receiving direct technical mentorship while developing modern, full-stack applications.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Workstreams
In this software development role, your daily operational deliverables will cover four core engineering pillars:
1. Application Development & Coding
- Feature Building: Assist in writing, testing, and deploying clean, efficient, and scalable code for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Modern Tech Stack: Work across frontend and backend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Java.
2. API Integration & Database Engineering
- Database Management: Write SQL/NoSQL queries, structure data models, and maintain database schemas.
- API Connection: Assist in developing, testing, and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party web services.
3. Testing, Debugging & Code Reviews
- Issue Resolution: Identify, debug, and patch software bugs across live and staging environments.
- Peer Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, automated unit testing, and git-based version control workflows.
4. Technical Documentation
- Process Mapping: Document system architectures, codebase workflows, API endpoints, and technical setups for future team maintenance.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
To qualify for entry into this 6-month remote internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: Diploma, Degree, or final-year student status in:
- Computer Science
- Software Development / Software Engineering
- Information Technology
- Computer Engineering / Systems Engineering
- Technical Fundamentals:
- Solid grasp of core programming fundamentals, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and database structures.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and modern development frameworks (React, Node.js, Python, PHP, or Java).
- Advantageous: Personal or academic portfolio projects hosted on GitHub, GitLab, or live servers.
