The Quality Assurance (QA) Intern will join the Learning & Development (L&D) and Operational Quality team. In this entry-level role, you will evaluate sales calls, ensure regulatory compliance in the funeral insurance division, track training registers, and manage operational reporting—gaining comprehensive exposure to project coordination, quality management, and compliance within the life insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities & Practical Exposure

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will gain hands-on workplace experience across three core functional areas:

1. Learner Admin & Sales Systems

  • Data Extraction & Capturing: Extract, capture, and maintain operational data accurately for reporting purposes.
  • Fact Capturing: Listen to interaction recordings and accurately record factual details into internal compliance systems.
  • Multilingual Engagement: Utilize South African vernacular language skills (reading and writing) to evaluate diverse customer calls and training materials.

2. Operational Quality Execution (Funeral Division)

  • Call Auditing: Listen to and evaluate funeral insurance sales calls to ensure compliance with FAIS, TCF (Treating Customers Fairly), and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Target Management: Meet daily and weekly evaluation quotas and deadlines within a structured team environment.
  • Systematic Recordkeeping: Maintain meticulous digital records of evaluated calls, compliance flags, and feedback logs.

3. L&D Enhancement & Training Support

  • Product Knowledge: Participate in continuous product and compliance training.
  • Training Coordination: Assist in planning and preparing materials for staff induction and training interventions, including managing attendance registers and meeting schedules.

Candidate Profile & Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this graduate opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualification: A completed Degree or National Diploma in any of the following fields:
    • Human Resources (HR)
    • Administration / Public Management
    • Psychology / Industrial Psychology
    • Training & Development / Education
    • (or any related social science/administrative qualification)
  • Employment Status: Must be a recent graduate seeking first-time formal workplace exposure.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Language Skills: Strong verbal and written English skills. Ability to read and write in South African vernacular languages is highly advantageous.
