The Opportunity
Oracle is looking for technically strong graduates to join their FLEXCUBE consulting team. FLEXCUBE is a world-leading core banking solution that manages everything from savings accounts to massive corporate loans. As an intern, you won’t just be “shadowing”—you will be validating system behavior, reviewing integration logs, and helping configure the “brain” of a bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Analysis: Validate how FLEXCUBE modules (CASA, Payments, Loans) behave under different scenarios.
- Troubleshooting: Simulate test scenarios, review system logs, and document technical issues.
- Environment Support: Assist with basic configurations, version comparisons, and environment health checks.
- Integrations: Help review interface mappings for systems like ATM/POS and payment gateways.
- Documentation: Capture technical requirements during workshops and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, BCom Informatics, or Engineering.
- Skills: Strong analytical ability and comfort with structured technical processes.
- “Nice to Haves”: Basic exposure to SQL/PL-SQL and understanding of APIs.
Oracle OFSS Technical Interview Prep
Oracle Consulting is rigorous. You need to demonstrate that you can handle complex system logic.
1. Understanding Core Banking
- Question: “What do you understand about a ‘CASA’ module in banking?”
- Tip: CASA stands for Current Account & Savings Account. It is the foundation of retail banking. Mention that you understand these modules handle high-volume, real-time transactions.
2. Technical Troubleshooting
- Question: “If an ATM transaction fails but the money is deducted from the account, where would you start looking in the system logs?”
- Tip: Mention checking the Integration Layer or the Middleware logs to see where the communication between the ATM and the Core Bank (FLEXCUBE) broke down.
3. SQL Knowledge
- Tip: Since FLEXCUBE runs on Oracle Databases, having a basic grasp of SQL is a huge advantage. Be ready to explain how to
