The Performance Strategy Business Analyst is an entry-level consulting position designed for high-achieving graduates and early-career quantitative professionals. Serving as the primary source of reliable data and rock-solid analysis, you will serve as a frontline change agent—gathering operational metrics, building fact bases, solving complex business problems, and coaching client teams on-site.
Key Responsibilities & Core Workstreams
In this frontline management consulting role, your daily operational deliverables will cover four primary consulting pillars:
1. Fact-Base Building & Quantitative Data Analysis
- Primary Data Analysis: Gather, clean, structure, and analyze complex operational and financial client datasets.
- Root-Cause Problem Solving: Provide rock-solid quantitative models and fact bases to support real-time decision-making and prioritize improvement initiatives.
2. Process Improvement & On-Site Execution
- Operational Enhancement: Assist consulting teams in designing, implementing, and sustaining measurable process, system, and performance improvements.
- Prioritization Support: Structure workstreams to solve high-impact operational bottlenecks under tight deadlines.
3. Client Coaching & Capability Building
- Frontline Coaching: Work directly alongside client analysts and operational staff to build their analytical skills, process capability, and performance tracking habits.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate structured insights, build trust with senior managers, and influence operational outcomes through data-driven arguments.
4. Team Leadership & Professional Development
- Peer Mentorship: Guide younger team members and collaborate within cross-functional Accenture consulting teams.
Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements
To qualify for entry into this strategy consulting position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications: University Degree (or equivalent experience) with strong academic performance and a heavy emphasis on quantitative skills, particularly in:
- Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, etc.)
- Commerce / Economics / Finance
- Mathematics / Actuarial Science / Computer Science / Physical Sciences
- Advantageous: MBA, Master’s degrees, or Double Degrees are highly regarded.
- Core Competencies & Soft Skills:
