Career Advice for NPA Applicants

  1. The “Z83” Rule: Never leave a section blank on your Z83 form. Even for an entry-level role, a poorly completed Z83 is the fastest way to get disqualified. Sign and date the form correctly.
  2. Focus on Confidentiality: The NPA deals with sensitive legal data. In your CV or interview, emphasize your understanding of the POPI Act and your ability to keep information secure.
  3. PERSAL Knowledge: If you are applying for the HR Clerk role, mention if you have any exposure to (or interest in learning) the PERSAL system. PERSAL is the standard HR system used by the South African government.
