Potential Interview Questions

- Why they ask: They want to see your practical SQL comprehension applied directly to the Vitality rewards ecosystem.
- “When looking at a massive spreadsheet of member data, how do you handle missing or anomalous values before using that data to create a risk report?”
- Why they ask: Data cleaning and basic data integrity logic are fundamental requirements for an incoming analyst.
Culture & Institutional Fit
- “Discovery’s core purpose is to make people healthier and enhance their lives. How do you see data analysis directly helping to push that specific health innovation forward?”
- Why they ask: Discovery looks for value alignment. They want data analysts who see the human element behind the metric points.
- “Vitality operates in a fast-paced environment with bi-annual product launches. Tell us how you prioritize your tasks when multiple departments (like marketing and actuarial) request data insights at the exact same time.”
- Why they ask: Time management, adaptability, and high-pressure throughput are core personal attributes listed in the specifications.
