The Data Mining & Email Marketing Internship is a flexible, 100% remote program. This role offers students and recent graduates practical experience in data extraction, high-volume database management, audience segmentation, and performance analytics to support international, data-driven email marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Workstreams
In this remote data and marketing role, your daily deliverables will cover four core areas:
1. Data Mining & Database Engineering
- Data Extraction: Conduct web scraping, data mining, and list extraction across various online sources to build target email databases.
- Data Cleaning: Clean, validate, de-duplicate, and structure large datasets in spreadsheet software to ensure high deliverability and accuracy.
2. Audience Segmentation & Email Campaigns
- Segmentation: Segment client and lead lists based on user behavior, demographics, industry verticals, and engagement metrics.
- Campaign Execution: Assist marketing teams in configuring and scheduling data-driven email automation workflows.
3. Performance Analytics & Optimization
- Metric Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on key campaign KPIs including open rates, click-through rates (CTR), bounce rates, and conversions.
- A/B Testing: Design and evaluate A/B split tests for email subject lines, copy, and call-to-actions based on analytical insights.
4. Reporting & Collaboration
- Dashboards: Build summary reports and data spreadsheets presenting audience trends and strategic recommendations to cross-functional teams.
Candidate Profile & Technical Requirements
To qualify for entry into this remote internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in any field (Data Science, Marketing, IT, Business Administration, or related disciplines).
- Core Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of data mining, database maintenance, or data analysis principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or basic SQL is highly preferred.
