2026 NETWXS Learnership Programme!

NETWXS, often operating in close partnership with Netcampus, is a premier South African ICT training and enterprise development provider. They specialize in bridging the “skills gap” by transforming high-potential youth into work-ready professionals through their accredited netYouth initiative. As a MICT SETA accredited institution, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, nationally recognized qualifications that combine theoretical knowledge with actual workplace integration, making them a trusted name for both learners and corporate partners in the tech sector.

Job Description & Learnership Scope

This 12-month program is a blend of classroom theory and on-the-job training.

  • Core Skills: You’ll learn to install and configure local area networks (LANs), manage servers (Windows/Azure), and troubleshoot hardware.
  • Advanced Training: Includes cybersecurity basics, risk management, and professional communication within a corporate IT environment.
  • The Goal: To move you from a “tech enthusiast” to a certified Junior Systems Administrator.

Career Advice: The “NQF 5” Advantage

  1. Bridge to a Career: Remind your users that an NQF 5 is a Higher Certificate. It’s the perfect middle ground between Matric and a University degree, making them highly employable in a short time.
  2. Location Matters: Since the role is in Centurion, applicants should emphasize their “reliable transport” or proximity to the area. Punctuality is a major factor for learnership coordinators.
  3. Prepare Your Docs: SETA-funded programs are strict. Advise your users to have certified copies of their ID and Matric certificate (not older than 3 months) and their SARS tax letter ready before they hit “Apply.”

Possible Interview Questions

“Why are you interested in IT System Support instead of just general IT?” The goal here is to see if you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting. For a great answer, talk about your interest in how networks connect or your passion for solving hardware problems. Mention that you enjoy being the “go-to” person for technical fixes when things go wrong.

“How would you handle a technical issue that you’ve never seen before?” The interviewer is testing your resourcefulness and logic. Explain that you would use a structured process: check the basics like cables and power first, search official documentation or reliable tech forums, and then escalate the issue to a supervisor with a clear explanation of the steps you’ve already taken to try and fix it.

“Are you committed to completing the full 12-month duration of this program?” The company wants to ensure they don’t invest a stipend in someone who will quit halfway through. Express your long-term goal of becoming a certified professional and explain how this specific NQF 5 qualification is the essential first step in your career roadmap.

“What do you do to stay updated with the latest technology trends?” This is to see if you have a “growth mindset.” You should mention specific tech blogs you read, YouTube channels you follow (like Linus Tech Tips or NetworkChuck), or any free online introductory courses you have explored in your own time.
