Momentum Investments is recruiting a Junior Business System Analyst (Ref: MMH261005-7) to join their IT cluster in Centurion, Gauteng. Working alongside senior systems analysts, technical developers, and business stakeholders, the successful candidate will analyze business systems, document process workflows, support user testing, and leverage emerging enterprise AI technologies (such as Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform) to optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Functional Operations
The Junior Business System Analyst will contribute across four primary operational areas:
1. Requirements Elicitation & Process Improvement
- Requirements Gathering: Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional business requirements, user stories, and system specifications.
- Process Mapping: Map end-to-end business processes to identify operational bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, AI integration, and digital transformation.
2. System Analysis, Data & Enterprise AI Tools
- System Integration: Assist in evaluating how business applications, databases, and APIs integrate across the financial services ecosystem.
- AI Productivity & Analytics: Utilize AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform AI capabilities, ChatGPT) to perform data trend analysis, streamline documentation, and support data quality governance.
3. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & System Quality
- Testing Preparation: Draft test cases, prepare test data, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Defect Tracking: Use AI-assisted testing platforms to log, track, and resolve system bugs and user queries alongside technical support teams.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Financial Efficiency
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective working relationships with internal business units and independent advisers, delivering user support and resolving queries.
- Operational Savings: Identify opportunities to eliminate process inefficiencies, reduce operational costs, and optimize resource usage.
Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements

- Work Experience & Academic Exposure:
- 0 to 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Information Systems, IT Support, Data Analysis, Process Improvement, or Digital Transformation (Mandatory).
- Internship, graduate program, project work, or university exposure involving AI, automation, data analytics, or systems implementation is highly beneficial.
- Technical Core Stack & Knowledge:
