In partnership with the national YES4Youth (Youth Employment Service) initiative, Computershare South Africa is inviting applications for its 12-month Computershare Graduate Programme based onsite in Johannesburg. This initiative provides newly qualified law and business graduates with hands-on exposure to global financial markets, shareholder registry management, corporate actions, and entity compliance while earning a monthly salary and gaining real-world corporate experience.
Key Responsibilities & Rotational Pillars
Throughout this 12-month structured program, graduates will build expertise across key corporate financial pillars:
1. Financial Administration & Shareholder Services
- Issuer Services: Assist with managing shareholder registries, corporate actions, equity plans, and shareholder meetings for global public and private client entities.
- Compliance & Governance: Support corporate governance and entity compliance workflows under the guidance of senior legal and compliance officers.
2. Project & Operations Support
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Rotate through specialized business units, contributing to live business projects and daily operational deliverables.
- Process Execution: Action daily administrative requests, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare compliance reports.
3. Professional & Technical Development
- Structured Mentorship: Engage in regular coaching, technical training modules, and performance reviews with dedicated executive mentors.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for entry into the Computershare Graduate Programme, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Citizenship & Age: Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID, aged 18 to 34 years.
- Academic Qualification: Hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree from a South African university, specifically in:
- BCom Law
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
- Business Administration
- Academic Track Record: Maintained an above-average academic aggregate throughout tertiary studies.
- School Qualification: Valid South African Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
- Employment & Program Status: Must be currently unemployed and must NOT have previously participated in a YES4Youth programme.
- Technical & Soft Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong numerical reasoning and fluent business English skills (written and spoken).
- Location: Ability to work onsite daily in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
