Apply for SYSPRO Graduate Internship

Founded in 1978, SYSPRO is a global leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Unlike general software companies, SYSPRO focuses specifically on the Manufacturing and Distribution sectors. They help factories and warehouses manage everything from raw materials to finished goods. With a presence in the US, UK, Canada, and Asia, a SYSPRO internship offers you a window into how global supply chains operate through technology.

  • Technical & Functional Consulting Track: This is for those who enjoy problem-solving and business logic. You will learn how to configure and support SYSPRO software to meet the specific needs of different businesses.

Career Advice: The “ERP” Advantage

  1. Understand the Product: Before your interview, download a SYSPRO brochure. Understand that they don’t just “code”; they solve problems for manufacturers. If you can talk about Supply Chain or Inventory Management, you’ll impress them.
  2. Cloud Focus: SYSPRO is moving heavily toward the Cloud. If you have any experience or certifications in Azure or AWS, make sure these are prominent on your CV for the Dev track.
  3. The “Sunninghill” Hub: This is a full-time, onsite role. If you are not based in Joburg, emphasize your relocation plan or your proximity to the Sunninghill area.
  4. Show “Business Acumen”: SYSPRO looks for people who understand that code serves a business purpose. Mention how you enjoy using tech to make businesses more efficient.

Possible Interview Questions

“What is your understanding of ERP, and why is it critical for manufacturing companies?”

  • Answer: “ERP is the ‘brain’ of a company. It integrates all departments—from the warehouse to finance—into one system. For manufacturers, it’s critical because it ensures they don’t run out of materials and that every product made is accounted for.”

“SYSPRO is moving toward a Cloud environment. What do you see as the biggest advantage of Cloud ERP?”

  • Answer: “Scalability and accessibility. A cloud-based ERP allows a global manufacturer to access their data from anywhere in the world in real-time without needing massive physical servers on-site.”

“Are you more interested in writing code (Development) or solving business process problems (Consulting), and why?”

  • Answer: (Be honest here). “I prefer Development because I enjoy the logic of building tools,” OR “I prefer Consulting because I like seeing how technology directly changes the way a business operates.”

  • Location: Sunninghill, Johannesburg (Onsite).
  • Start Date: 1 March 2026.
