Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Completed BSc or BEng Degree in one of the following:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
  • Experience: No experience required (strictly entry-level).
  • Attributes: Analytical mindset, technical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to the South African energy landscape.

What the EIT Programme Offers

  • Core Operations: Hands-on experience with power generation, transmission, or distribution infrastructure.
  • Technical Mentorship: Guidance from registered professional engineers to help you work toward your ECSA Professional Registration.
  • Project Management: Involvement in large-scale technical projects, from design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Corporate Exposure: Understanding the administrative and strategic operations of a major state-owned enterprise (SOE).
