Interview Prep & Advice
1. Understand “Megawatt Park” Culture
Megawatt Park is a massive corporate environment. Eskom values resiliency (which is listed in the requirements). If interviewed, emphasize how you handle high-pressure environments or managed heavy workloads during your degree.
2. Technical Check: Excel
Because you’ll be in the “Centre of Excellence” (CoE), you will likely deal with data. Be prepared for a basic Excel test—know your VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Data Cleaning techniques.
3. Possible Interview Question
- “What is the difference between Talent Management and traditional HR?”
- Tip: Explain that while HR covers the basics (contracts, payroll), Talent Management focuses on the strategic development of people to ensure the company has the right skills for the future.
