Key Responsibilities & Professional Development
The Trainee Accountant will rotate through core audit and advisory functions:
1. Audit Execution & Client Engagements
- Audit Procedures: Perform comprehensive audit procedures across various commercial, non-profit, and public sector clients.
- Financial Statement Review: Test internal controls, examine financial ledgers, and verify asset valuations under senior supervision.
2. Professional Growth & Board Examination Support
- SAICA Progress: Steadily progress through your 3-year training contract to meet all South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) competencies.
- Exam Preparation: Access firm resources, technical training, and study leave to prepare for initial Test of Competence (ITC/IAC) and Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) exams.
