Working closely with Store Supervisors, Demand Planners, and in-store pickers/packers, you will manage receiving, returns, variance investigations, and supplier deliveries.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Workflows
The Store Operations Stock Controller will manage seven core inventory pillars:
1. Inventory Management & Stock Auditing
- System Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records and WMS system entries for all grocery and FMCG items in the warehouse.
- Replenishment & Auditing: Monitor stock levels, trigger timely replenishment, and conduct regular perpetual stock counts and wall-to-wall stock takes.
2. E-Commerce Order Fulfillment & Processing
- Order Receiving: Coordinate the receipt and processing of incoming customer orders from the Yassir mobile app platform.
- Pick, Pack & Label: Ensure accurate, time-critical picking, packing, and labeling of grocery orders for last-mile delivery drivers.
3. Quality Control & Food Safety
- Inbound Inspection: Conduct quality and freshness checks on incoming stock against food safety standards.
- Damages & Spoilage: Inspect items for damages, discrepancies, or expiry dates, enforcing proper FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) stock rotation techniques.
4. Vendor & Delivery Coordination
- Supplier Receiving: Communicate with vendors to coordinate delivery schedules, resolve short-shipments, and optimize stock availability.
- Cost Optimization: Assist in vendor delivery checks to minimize inventory costs and operational disruptions.
5. Warehouse Maintenance, Security & Compliance
- Warehouse Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse environment to enable high-speed picking and inventory movement.
- Shrinkage Control: Adhere to food safety regulations and implement loss-prevention measures to prevent inventory damage, theft, or spoilage.
6. Reporting & Variance Analysis
- Data Reporting: Generate reports on stock levels, order fulfillment velocity, pick accuracy, and inventory variance.
- Process Improvement: Analyze stock variance trends to recommend process optimizations to senior management.
