GAPP Partners is recruiting a multi-disciplinary team of experienced IT Professionals with Telecommunications industry experience for a major long-term project based in Gauteng. These hybrid roles span leadership, architecture, software engineering, testing, data migration, and organizational change.
Open Positions & Core Functional Roles
GAPP Partners is seeking qualified specialists across the following 9 key tech disciplines:
1. Project Management & Governance
- Programme / Project Manager: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex telecom initiatives, managing project lifecycles, budgets, stakeholder alignment, and risk frameworks.
2. Enterprise Architecture & Security
- Solution Architect: Design scalable, high-performance solution blueprints and enterprise software architectures for telecom systems.
- Security Architect: Establish cybersecurity frameworks, threat models, and regulatory compliance standards across network and software architecture.
3. Systems Engineering & Development
- Front-End Developer: Build intuitive, responsive web/mobile user interfaces for customer portals and operational dashboards using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Integration Developer: Design and deploy middleware, APIs, and microservices to connect legacy BSS/OSS telecom infrastructure with modern platforms.
4. Data Engineering & Analytics
- Data Architect / Data Migration Specialist: Lead data modeling, ETL pipelines, and complex data migration strategies from legacy telecoms databases to cloud environments.
5. Business Analysis, Quality & Transformation
- Business Analyst: Elicit requirements, map complex telecom business processes (BSS/OSS), and translate business needs into functional tech specifications.
- Test Lead: Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) strategies, manual and automated test frameworks, regression testing, and system integration testing (SIT/UAT).
- Training & Change Lead: Drive organizational change management (OCM), training programs, user adoption, and stakeholder alignment for new system rollouts.
Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify for consideration across any of these project roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Industry Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the Telecommunications sector (Essential across all roles).
- Qualifications & Certifications:
- Relevant IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Degree/Diploma.
- Professional certifications relevant to the role (e.g., PMP/Agile for Project Managers, TOGAF for Architects, ISTQB for Test Leads, AWS/Azure for Developers/Architects).
- Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Telecom BSS/OSS platforms, billing systems, CRM integrations, or network software architectures.
- Proven track record on large-scale enterprise transformation or legacy migration projects.
- Work Model & Location:
- Based in or willing to commute to Gauteng for hybrid office requirements.
