The Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2 Unemployed) at Mogalakwena Mine in Mokopane is designed to develop qualified artisans across multiple technical disciplines. This structured learnership combines off-the-job theoretical instruction with practical workplace experience on one of the world’s largest open-pit PGM operations. Successful completion leads directly to a nationally recognized Red Seal Trade Qualification.

- Boilermaker Learnership: 1 Position

- Earthmoving Equipment Machinery Learnership: 1 Position

Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify for entry into this engineering learnership, candidates must meet ONE of the following academic entry criteria:
Academic Qualifications (Choose Option 1, 2, or 3):
- Grade 12 / Matric:
- Pure Mathematics (Minimum 40% pass — Maths Literacy is NOT accepted).
- Physical Science (Minimum 40% pass).
- English (Minimum 40% pass).
- N3 Certificate or Higher:
- Passed all required trade-specific subjects (e.g., Plating & Structural Steelwork / Welders Theory for Boilermakers; Electrical Trade Theory / Electrotechnology / Industrial Electronics for Electrical trades).
- NCV Level 4 Certificate:
- Completed NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade discipline with a minimum 40% pass mark in all subjects.
Mandatory Documentation Required for Application:

- Certified copies of all relevant qualifications (Matric / N3 / NCV4).
- Certified copy of South African ID Document.
- Proof of Residence: Applicants from host communities must strictly attach a valid proof of residence stamped by the relevant tribal office or local municipality.
