This pivotal role bridges technical data engineering and executive decision-making. The Data Analyst will harvest complex dataset streams, model trends, build intuitive dashboards, and translate technical data into actionable strategic insights across retail operations, financial planning, and inventory forecasting.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Operations
The Data Analyst will drive key performance indicators across five functional areas:
1. Data Visualization & Reporting Strategy
- Report Architecture: Design, build, and deploy automated business intelligence reports and interactive dashboards tailored to executive stakeholder requirements.
- Strategy Execution: Implement data visualization policies, reporting guidelines, and business intelligence best practices across the corporate IT environment.
2. Data Analytics, Modeling & Pattern Recognition
- Advanced Analytics: Query, mine, and analyze complex datasets using SQL, SAS, Python, and AWS Cloud data tools.
- Retail SAP Integration: Leverage deep understanding of Retail SAP architecture to analyze sales, supply chain, and inventory metrics.
3. Stakeholder Enablement & Knowledge Transfer
- User Training: Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to empower end-users and business unit managers to interpret dashboards effectively.
- Customer Centricity: Engage business stakeholders in a consultative manner to understand operational bottlenecks and reporting needs.
4. Financial & Risk Modeling

Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify for consideration for this role, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Completed 3-year Degree in a Quantitative Field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics) (Mandatory).
- Postgraduate qualification (Honours or Master’s) is highly advantageous.
- Professional Work Experience:
- 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (Mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience working within complex IT environments (technical, security, and business architectures).
- Prior knowledge and practical experience with Retail SAP architecture, implementation, and operations (Essential).
- Technical Core Stack & Tools:
- High mathematical and statistical ability.
- Proven technical proficiency in SAS, AWS Cloud services, SQL, and Python (Mandatory).
