EqPlus Technologies is recruiting an experienced, detail-oriented SQL Reporting Analyst / Technical Consultant for a lucrative 12-month renewable contract based in Menlyn, Pretoria (Hybrid). This role focuses on advanced PL/SQL and MySQL database querying, complex report writing, data management, and generating business-critical reporting solutions with essential prior experience in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Workflows

The SQL Reporting Analyst will execute core database and reporting deliverables under client project governance:

1. Database Management & PL/SQL Querying

• Data Extraction: Write, optimize, and execute complex PL/SQL and MySQL queries to extract, transform, and validate transactional data across large relational databases.
• Data Administration: Ensure data integrity, database performance optimization, and reliable data management practices.

2. Report Writing & Business Intelligence

• Custom Reporting: Design, develop, and deliver robust technical reports tailored to complex automotive operations and data structures.
• Excel Modeling: Utilize advanced MS Excel for data analysis, data cleansing, formatting, and management reporting deliverables.

3. Automotive Sector Solutions

• Industry Alignment: Apply deep domain knowledge of automotive retail, manufacturing, parts distribution, or dealer management systems.
• Aftersales Support: Leverage aftersales experience (workshop scheduling, parts inventory, service metrics) to build high-impact technical reports (Advantageous).

Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements

To qualify for consideration, applicants must meet the following mandatory technical and industry criteria:

• Technical Stack (MANDATORY SKILLS):
  • Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and MySQL database querying and management (Mandatory).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data manipulation and reporting (Mandatory).
  • Proven expertise in Data & Database Management and technical Report Writing (Mandatory).
• Industry Experience (CRITICAL):
  • Automotive industry experience is ESSENTIAL for this role (Mandatory).
  • Advantageous: Prior experience working within automotive aftersales, service departments, or dealer management environments.
• Professional Competencies:
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex data into clear technical reports.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment in Menlyn, Pretoria.
