iLAB is urgently seeking 4x Intermediate Test Analysts for immediate 3-month contract engagements across Johannesburg and Cape Town. These hybrid roles focus on financial services software applications, core ledger integration, and system verification.

Open Positions & Breakdown

iLAB is recruiting across two distinct project tracks:

Track 1: 3x Test Analysts (General Ledger Testing Specialist)

• Locations: Johannesburg (JHB) or Cape Town (CPT) – Hybrid.
• Focus Area: End-to-end General Ledger (GL) testing, financial reconciliations, accounting entry validation, and core transaction flow verification within banking/financial services platforms.

Track 2: 1x Test Analyst (Financial Services Generalist)

• Location: Johannesburg (JHB) – Hybrid.
• Focus Area: Functional, integration, and system testing across corporate financial software applications and banking workflows.

Core Key Responsibilities & Daily Deliverables

The Intermediate Test Analysts will manage QA execution across four key functional areas:

• Test Planning & Execution: Design, write, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases based on functional business requirements.
• General Ledger (GL) Verification: Conduct rigorous testing on General Ledger postings, balance sheets, chart of accounts mappings, and transactional entry accuracy (for GL specialists).
• Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and retest software defects using enterprise defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and System Architects to ensure defect resolution meets strict financial compliance standards.

Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements

To qualify for consideration for these contract positions at iLAB, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship & Availability:
  • Must be a South African Citizen (Essential).
  • Must be available to start immediately (Essential).
• Experience & Skill Level:
  • Solid experience as an Intermediate Test Analyst (3+ years in software quality assurance).
  • Demonstrated experience within the Financial Services or Banking sector (Essential).
  • Proven experience in General Ledger (GL) testing, core banking systems, or financial reconciliation testing (required for 3 of the roles).
• QA Toolset & Methodologies:
  • Experience working with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, ALM, or Azure DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Strong analytical, bug-tracking, and detail-oriented testing skills.
