Key Responsibilities & Learnership Structure

The 12-Month Learnership is structured across three core development pillars:

1. Theoretical Classroom Learning

  • Accredited Modules: Complete all SETA-accredited coursework, assessments, and portfolio of evidence (PoE) tasks within scheduled deadlines.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Gain practical understanding of public sector processes, administrative systems, and operational compliance.

2. Practical Workplace Exposure

  • On-the-Job Training: Support host employer operations through administrative support, data capturing, document management, and customer service.
  • Workplace Compliance: Adhere to host organization policies, working hours, health and safety regulations, and operational guidelines.

3. Performance & Portfolio Management

  • Portfolio of Evidence (PoE): Compile, organize, and submit complete PoEs for internal verification and SETA moderation.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain regular attendance, track weekly logs, and participate in scheduled performance reviews.

Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements

To qualify for consideration for this 12-month learnership, applicants must meet the following entry criteria:

  • Demographic & Citizenship Criteria:
    • Must be an unemployed South African citizen (Mandatory).
    • Must possess a valid South African Identity Document (ID).
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Completed Matric / Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification (Mandatory).
  • Age Profile:
    • Preference is given to unemployed youth (aged 18 to 35 years).
  • Core Skills & Attributes:
    • Basic computer literacy and numerical skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to completing the full 12-month program duration.
