Key Responsibilities by Role Category
1. Fieldworkers (Regional)
- Family & Child Support: Assist and comfort children and families throughout the dream-fulfillment process.
- Transportation & Logistics: Drive children and families to appointments, events, and venues as required.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with local healthcare facilities, sponsors, and community partners.
- Data & Record Maintenance: Keep accurate field logs, participant files, and interaction records.
2. Dream Room Coordinators (Regional)
- Planning & Coordination: Conceptualize, schedule, and plan dream-fulfillment events and personalized experiences for children.
- Procurement & Logistics: Manage purchases, vendor arrangements, gift sourcing, and event documentation.
- Family Liaison: Work closely with families to ensure all administrative and personal needs for the experience are met.
3. Quality Assurance Interns (National / Johannesburg)
- Process Compliance: Monitor operational quality standards, administrative documentation, and organizational compliance.
- Data Accuracy & Reporting: Review participant data, conduct quality checks, and assist with operational reporting.
Candidate Profile & Minimum Entry Requirements
To qualify for consideration for these internship positions, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Demographic & Citizenship Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be aged 18 to 29 years (Mandatory youth development criteria).
- Applicable Employment Equity / BEE criteria apply.
- No criminal record or relevant infringements.
- Mandatory Requirement for Fieldworkers:
- Valid South African Driver’s Licence is COMPULSORY for all Fieldworker applicants.
- Relevant Academic Fields:
- Qualifications, diplomas, degrees, or postgraduate studies in Psychology, Teaching/Education, Childcare, Social Work, Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or Operations Management (Highly Advantageous).
- Core Competencies & Personal Attributes:
- Genuine passion for working with children and families in need.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of administrative, organizational, and time-management capability.
